Sustainability Education across the five campuses of the University of Minnesota work with faculty, staff, students, and community partners using an integrated approach to create a vibrant and transformative community working together to inspire our community to conduct its business in ways that conserve its resources and are good for all people and good for the planet while engaging our community in an ongoing dialogue and discovery of more sustainable practices that lead to individual and institutional actions towards sustainability.
This is achieved through:
- Developing student leadership by educating and empowering students across disciplines, backgrounds, levels of interest, and knowledge of sustainability using an experiential-based approach.
- Create and participate in opportunities for our community to teach, engage in, and present about sustainability.
- Build bridges with various communities, develop shared program models, and provide leadership within the University community and with external organizations.
